No.
Read it again, the sentence can be misunderstood.

Looks to me like jamming cyclists together with buses AND trams is a
fairly surefire way of ridding Edinburgh of a few bike riding ninnies.

I feel sorry for the bus and tram drivers that are going to inevitably
be doing the wiping out though.

Seems a bit short sighted to me, why don't they just give the cyclists
their own lane?

While we're at it, the council could keep stocks of umbrellas and
walking sticks at places where pedestrians have to cross the cycleways.
This way, when cyclists ignore the signals to stop, the spokes can be
jammed. If the cyclists get uppity the sticks could be used to beat a
submission. Order will be returned to the streets.

It doesnt matter how hard you beat a cyclist. You'll never beat common
sense into them. And to think the govt want MORE of the fuckers on the
streets!

The sound they make when the front wheel stops & they go over the
handlebars is most interestingf, I saw it happen once when the idiot
decided that red lights were not for him.
The good news is the walking stick was not damaged.

You can't have been hitting him hard enough, then.
