No levers in Kings cross - maybe a few buttons ;-)

One of the excercises at the assement day was to listen to a description
of routing a train through a manual signal box area. We also had a sheet
with the text on it. We had three minutes to listen/read, then the text
was taken away. We had to wait 5 minutes before answering questions.
Questions were like ...

What bell code would you send for line clear?
What bell code do you respond with after receiving the acknowledge code?

If we have to learn lever signal boxes, then I guess we will have to learn
all the bell codes too.

Don't care what he uses as his sig......... as long as when he starts his
job, he doesn't cause "Confusion and delay!!"
(Guess who's got a son who's mad into 'Thomas' at the moment!!)

The driving test still requires hand signals to be known, doesn't it?

Cars are 100 year old technology. Should they be replaced?
