The man injured 2 people and was sent to prison for a year and a half accordingly. He has also been banned from driving for 2 years. Would you prefer that he was shot?

Handling stolen goods would not normally attract an immediate custodial sentence except in cases of obvious recidivism. Even assault on police and criminal damage are not automatically matters for which a prison term will be doled out. That leaves the actual driving offences, which must be what the custodial is for. Eighteen months in prison is a fair old sentence. So is two years disqualification on release. What do you say should have been the punishment, out of interest?
