So long as there are sheep willing to drive SUVs and not try a bike in
the community, BIG OIL gets fed.

I tried to reflect in the above post that the EVIL BIG OIL is just
doing the dirty job for stockholders and the general public (the
sheep) who are addicted to the stuff, all with the blessing of the Big
Brother.

Do you think they are open to alternative transportation?

Good for them. Welcome to the wonderful world of frugality. Fat
retired people are no good.

Hanging in the hammock is the perfect way to enjoy your retirement.
Riding a bike would be the perfect complement to be healthy, but
there's much hostility toward it on the roads.

Efficiency is the name of the game. Public transportation (properly
used) is so much more efficient than cars. Germany and Japan only have
a third of American consumption.

Bicycles can be used to further facilitate individual transportation
at the local level or in conjunction with public transportation.

Don't play The Scarcity Game.

More to the point, everyone knows we owe China & Japan oodles of money
to pay for Hussein Obama's little private wars...

....however, not many know that we owe England almost as much.

So if we ordered BP to pay that off, I'd call us square, hmm?

I thought he inherited those hot potatoes, I mean hot spots.

Anyway, shouldn't we give up such Quixotic enterprises and start
nation building here?

Imagine we had so many resources to do something really grandiose
here.
