As you asked about an auto gearbox, what do you think Mrcheerful is referring to? Plus the fact that engine oil should be changed about every 6,000 miles (IIRC) it would have had far more than two by now wouldn't it???

I understand that the engine oil needs changing regularly and I had the honda's chamged son after I bought it about a year ago but someone led me to believe that transmission oil in an auto never needs changing.
