Auto manufacturers are Beholden to the Customers.
There is an old saying, The Customer Is Always Right!

Don't tell the Customers the brakes are within spec, get used to it.
The Customers will buy their autos from a different auto
manufacturer.They will vote with their pockets.

I think that was a dealer or service manager that said that.

Whoever it was, I'd bet he's no longer working for Toyota in any way,
shape or form...
