I tried removing what looks like the securing or retaining bolt with an battery powered drill on the highest torque settings, but it just stalled the drill. Just wondering if there is any trick to its removal? TIA Owen

More torque should do the trick... an electric drill being no match for even a weakling's arm! You'll probably need a socket type Torx bit of the appropriate size in either 3/8" or 1/2" drive, depending on what you have available by way of a conventional socket set. -- John H
