They'd struggle with many aspects of management, though. Perhaps you've never reached the level of being a middle / senior manager so couldn't possibly comprehend what skills are required. -- SteveH 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - Hongdou GY200 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 TSpark - B6 Passat 2.0TDI SE - COSOC KOTL BOTAFOT #87 - BOTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC #

I comprehend fully. Sadly you don't as your trying to compare someone who chooses to do a particular job with a completely different job. You also make the mistake of assuming that just because someone is employed as a lorry driver or crop picker that he or she is incapable of doing the senior manager's job. A great many people never get the opportunity to find out what they're capable of, mainly because of the prejudicies and pre-conieved ideas of those who are already managing. The reverse also applies, there are many managers at all levels who wouldn't have the faintest idea of doing anything "on the shop floor". Having the skills to hand is one thing, having the wit to be able to learn new ones is something very different.

I'm only going on the evidence of what is posted here. Most of the truck drivers appear to be uneducated fuckwits with anger management issues. -- SteveH 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - Hongdou GY200 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 TSpark - B6 Passat 2.0TDI SE - COSOC KOTL BOTAFOT #87 - BOTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC #

In view of your earlier post, "any uneducated fuckwit can pick crops or be taught how to drive a truck" that's obviously not true and demonstrates both an utter lack of knowledge of the job and a preference for clinging to stereotypes. I've also encountered supposedly educated fuckwits who couldn't learn to drive a lorry even if they had the rest of their lives to learn. I've also encountered both educated and uneducated people who could organise a soiree in a beer manufactory and those who couldn't. Education without intelligence is a waste. > > Most of the truck drivers appear to be uneducated fuckwits with anger > management issues. Perhaps that's because of the crass stupidity that some people insist on spouting?

Have you considered artificial insemination? It's a lifestyle choice. Once again, the lack of any kind of education or social skills of the average trucker are showing. However, I wouldn't expect some working class oik to understand that you don't *have* to have children. -- SteveH 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - Hongdou GY200 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 TSpark - B6 Passat 2.0TDI SE - COSOC KOTL BOTAFOT #87 - BOTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |
