A blockade (as opposed to a siege) is a legitimate wartime tactic to prevent war materials reaching your enemy.... And if you happen to think Israel isn't at war then read the Hamas charter (which had been widely publicised, by Hamas, prior to their becoming the government in Gaza). If it's not legitmate then why haven't Hamas, and others affected by it, challenged it in the international courts (the blockade has been in place for at least three years)? -- John H

Israel may be at war with Hamas, but not with Gaza. Therefore blockading of Gaza is illegal.

If Israel isn't at war with Gaza because Hamas, who've declared war on Israel, are only its Government then why hasn't the blockade been challenged in the international court? -- John H |
