If that doesn't invite the reader to assume it was the you who hit the bin, I don't know what does. There's no way one would be able to take a guess that is was anyone else they knew. Admit it, you fucked up and hit a bin. Learn from it and move on.

Why would anyone assume it was me that hit the bin from what I wrote? There were only two readers who misinterpreted it, you and R. Gower. R. Gower jumped in very late, long after (>24 hours) after a fuller explanation had been given, given mainly to to make clear that YOUR misunderstanding was wrong. It was obvious that I had witnessed the bin being pushed out into the road, so why having seen that might I still drive into the bin? > > Admit it, you fucked up and hit a bin. Learn from it and move on. That would have needed me to drive a few miles to the next roundabout, turn back onto the opposite carriageway and then deliberately run into it. I'll leave that sort of antic to the Advanced drivers in the group. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk

I only wrote 'I wonder who hit it', which rather implied I did not know who if anyone had actually run into the bin. I had driven off with the rest of the queue, before anyone actually hit the bin. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk
