The story was - someone so careless as to reverse out of their drive onto a 70 limit stretch of road, crossing a footpath, in the dark with their visibility out of there windows so impaired, as to not be able to even see a wheelie bin directly behind them. Having failed to see it, they then failed to hear its noise as it was pushed back. They do make quite a noise BTW. If the driver did in fact see and/or hear it, it leaves me wondering about their lack of concern at the danger they were creating for other drivers. Perhaps it was a deliberate act - I don't know. Are you sure you are an Advanced Driver? You do seem to be struggling to grasp the risks. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk

So - YOU are the one I saw wearing blinkers the other day. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk

You misunderstand. As the driver, I only concern myself with what I can control. I drive in such a way that I can avoid hitting things. This is achieved by a combination of anticipation and looking where I'm going.
