Well that's the thing. Is it worth spending that kind of money?
I think the cost of the actual bullbar is fair, given the time, research
and materials involved. There are alternatives, but havent come across
anything that actually looks as good.

:insurance claim either with or without a bullbar.

Driving slowly doesnt avoid all strikes, nor is relying on insurance a
convenient solution.

I thought the whole point of a bullbar was to absorb the impact energy?
If that means damage to the bar - then so be it - better than it going
through your chassis.

Makes me laugh when I see some blokes with bullbars made out of what

It has airbags, unfortunately. Had no luck finding any bars of the
molded plastic type (such as the 'smart bar').

I should add that roos as fairly infrequent here - even then they are
nothing like the size of the mainland ones, most would be under 1.5m
tall. Wallabies we have by the truckload per square metre though, ditto
for wombats.
