Wombats in particular are buggers here - they have a habit of shooting
straight out at great speed. Those buggers can move a hell of a lot
faster than you'd think. I've had a few wallabies slam into the side of
my vehicles as well.

There are many Roos in the NSW central west. It is particularly dangerous
when one steps out in front of you while travelling at 110kph on the great
western highway. Last one I almost avoided, but caught him on the edge of
the nearside front guard. He did a piroette spinning like a top. Dragged him
off the road which is something rarely done. With all regard to truckies, it
is often the case they plow thru one with their huge bullbars, then
keepgoing.

It's most often the case of kangaroos running into you (and then, more
often than not from the side), rather than the other way around.....
