Small/medium sized middle-aged cars at less than 2 grand with some SH
seem get snapped up quickly, but you should be able to find Rover 25s,
even at a dealer. I'd look for something slightly larger.

There are 6 Rover 75's under �2k nationally, with under 100k and newer than
1999 on Autotrader. At least one of them says FSH in the description.... If
you want something a bit bigger than the Rover 25?? ;)

The "automatic" bit would put me off in one of them, as it'd be a CVT. I've
heard of them going pop at anything up to 80k, but anything as low as
30-50k, but given it's 5 years old I'd be a bit apprehensive as to how long
it'd have left, especially as those 8000 miles would largely have been short
journeys....

I thought the Micra CVT was supposed to be quite good? I've heard others are
as bad as you say though.
