Yep, miss daisy takes longer to get in and start the Elise.

Your MX5 would have to be heavilly modified, not just better shocks, exhaust etc. It would take at
least cam grinds, exhaust, chip, cold air and some great shockies with upgraded springs to get close
to a reasonable Elise.

I suppose you raced your Wifes MX5 on the off races where you werent in your Elise huh?

I'd suggest that you know very little about either car!

Actually I do take my wifes MX5 out for a spin now and then..I've only
ever driven an Elise demonstrator for a couple of hours and quickly
decided that it was not a daily driver..the MX5 is.

You really are a ponce!

I seriously doubt that you have driven either, I picture you as a pimple faced weed with his face
pushed up against the fence of the local clubman circuit salivating the thought that you could
afford the spectator entry fee let alone being able to actually participate.

And as far as knowing the vehicles, I'll admit that I've never owned an Elise but I've raced against
one in an unmodified MX5, something that I'm sure is far inferior to your fantasies.

Sure you have Scotty...guess THAT one was a box std 1.6 litre NA.

I'd suggest that you watch a few of these...It appears that plenty of
others share my opinion.

Maybe this one where the Elise crashes after being pushed by the MX5

Every time we go to Calder for a Super Sprint the MX5 club is there with
at least a dozen cars and they are always considerably slower than the
couple of Elises that are there, depending ion the drivers the Elise is
about the same pace as a good Clubman.
Might be a different story on a shorter twisty track like Winton but I
haven't seen all that many MX5's there to compare.
