Better tell me when you decide the cutoff date is for world
beaters.....

and quite frankly "we" weren't comparing the WRX with the Verada.

BTW have you ever driven either?

Lap times and competition *are* relevant. How else can you get
objective analysis? For crying out loud, Oz, you're the person who
first compared the cars. Then when I show you *evidence* that the WRX
is superior, you cry out that you can't compare them! No wonder we
don't take you seriously. If the Verada/Magna setup was that good,
it'd be used in competition in it's relevant class - like the very
good production racing series that you'll find around Australia, up
against it's rivals from Ford and Holden. But it isn't. Why?
Because it's simply not the great chassis that you think it is.

Now, all I expect you to do is try to twist out of this, rather than
respond with constructive argument.

Cheers,
Steve

It's a non-argument. You stated that the WRX was no world beater. I
commented on it's WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORIES. You "countered" with
the fact that Lancia had more championships under its name. Big woop
de doo. The WRX didn't race against Lancia - they'd left the
championship after the Delta Integrale was no longer competitive. And
none of this is in any way relevant to the fact that the WRX has WON
world championships. How anyone could suggest that it isn't a "world
beater" is beyond me, because that's exactly what it's done. Beaten
everyone else in the world.

You're right. No one in their right mind would do so. So far the
only person here that thinks they should be compared is you.

Not the AWD Verada.

For great handling, or comfort comparing a horse to a car is a bad deal. A
horse goes where it wants to go, when it wants to go there. Even the best
trained horse can be a PITA when out of it's element (Literaly). As for
comfort, yes a horse can be comfortable but every time I spend 8 hours in
the saddle (been a while now) I'm glad to get down and have a break, I
supose the car is the same but for completely diferent reasons.
