Whereas, presumably, they should have sat in their vehicles patiently,
waiting for the roadworks to end in however many weeks' or months' time, so
that they could get out again. Give 'em a chance to lose a bit of weight, at
least, eh?

Was the one-way order still operative for the duration of the period when the
street was a cul-de sac? If o, one has to wonder about the sanity of the
authorities in your area.

It would be VERY unusual for a car leasing company NOT to have a company
secretary..
The requirement not to have one is aimed at one director small companies...

I know at least one one-director company where that one director has a
company car, doesn't have to be a leasing company.

Well that director would NOT be the keeper, AFAIK - the leasing company
is the keeper, the small company director is just a user.
All DVLA related stuff, including tax disc renewal is directed to the
leasing company, they merely forward the tax disc on.
In the case of a NIP, the nip goes first to the nominated person at the
leasing co, who says 'not me, Joe Bloggs drives that"

Oh, I think maybe you refer to a small company owning a car and there
only one director...well that is changing goalposts as up there the
thread clearly referred to - 'car leasing company pool car'

I apologise, missed the "leasing company" bit. It is unlikely, but
possible, there would not be a company sec in those circumstances.
