Once again demonstrating the sheer destructive force of a car compared
to the much maligned bicycle.

"A woman from South Gloucestershire has said she is "devastated" by
the damage she caused at a cemetery after losing control of her car.

Shirley Potts, who is a Labour member of South Gloucestershire
Council, was visiting Mangotsfield Cemetery on Easter Sunday to tend
her son's grave.

She lost control of her new car and accidentally drove over the
memorials.

Mrs Potts said she was advised not to contact the police but report it
to the council when their offices reopened.

After laying flowers on her son's grave, Mrs Potts, who had owned the
vehicle for a month, was trying to leave when her foot slipped and
caught on the accelerator.

"It all happened so fast, the car just shot forward," she said..."

It wasn't a Toyota by any chance was it? If it was no doubt we shall
never be allowed to know.

A driving licence is a licence to kill.

It might have been a Toyota, lets check the report, driver in new car
lost control "foot slipped and caught on the accelerator. "

Sounds like the sort of thing that might have happened to Toyota's in
the USA.

I think NASA should investige.

Since the driver admits hitting the accelerator, it's hardly relevant
what car it is.

But since you're so keen on suggesting the use of Google, it was a
Hyundai i10.

from the article:

"But local politician Shirley Potts has now come forward to admit she
accidentally mowed them down when her muddy foot slipped onto her brand
new car's accelerator"

so should someone campaign to get cleats on all drivers shoes to minimise
this dreadful risk?
I did wonder whether one of the gravestones might have been a cyclist's, the
it could have been 'Driver rams cyclist in Graveyard attack' or something.

Still having to convince yourself of this, I see. Most people know
that cars are heavy objects, and driving them into things isn't going
to end happily.

Anyway, "car runs over people who are already dead" is hardly
newsworthy.

This statement just shows that twice in one post you are determined to
make something of nothing, and making things up to try and justify
your misplaced rage.
