I find it logical to say a wire is a wire - regardless what the manufacturer does to it. I don't pretend to understand the science, so I limit myself to sitting down in front of my HiFi and listening. I have two pairs of interconnects, one pair cost 30 and the other 150. The 150 pair have crystal clear sound, almost too crystal clear, so that the 'soul' in the music is lost. The 30 pair do not convey as much detail in the sound, yet vocals are pushed forward in the soundstage. There is also greater 'soul' or 'warmth' to the sound. I am willing to concede the claims about the way the wire is twisted is bullshit. I am willing to concede that adding flakes of carbon to the wire is also bullshit, but just like the visual difference between a carnauaba wax and sealant, the two interconnects make my system sound audibly different. I stick with the 30 pound interconnects because they make my system as a whole sound better to me. It has nothing to do with money or manufacturer claims. -- MrBitsy Rover 75 CDTi

What would be the point? I know with my 150 interconnects plugged in, I can hear each note played by each instrument crystal clear. I know with the 30 interconnects plugged in, I can no longer hear each individual note as clear, yet the sound as a whole is more pleasing. I am not interested in the slightest about wire, impedance or any other technical wizardry. -- MrBitsy Rover 75 CDTi

My PC used to have one fan - the CPU temperature was 70 degrees, so I could not overclock it to run faster. With 8 fans running, I can set my 2.4GHz CPU to run at 3.6 GHz, but even flat out the temperature never gets above 55 degrees. Simpe really. -- MrBitsy Rover 75 CDTi
