I'm just looking for one of those basic video cameras to log video from my
car. I see a 'heroG' road cam and they same to be about $600. There are
lots of other car video cameras on ebay for like $120 but all from overseas.
Do any shops in Australia sell them cheaper? $100-$200? Thank you.

Take a look at <http://vas-entertainment.com/catalogue/contourhd-camera/>

The "normal" resolution one should be good enough for most
purposes; at $400 but on par with US RRP. But that's still double
what you want to pay.

The ContourHD seemed to be the better camera according to reviews I
read a few months ago.
