A MAN was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw after being
attacked outside a city centre nightclub.
The 20-year-old victim was out with friends when an unknown man
approached him and launched the unprovoked assault outside The Picture
House on Lothian Road.

Friends helped the injured man home and he attended hospital the
following day for treatment on a broken jaw and broken teeth.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, which
took place between 2.30am and 3am on Friday, to come forward.

The suspect is described as Asian, in his early 20's, 5ft 9ins tall with

members of the public in the Lothian Road area and we would ask anyone
who encountered him to come forward.

"Anyone with information that can assist us in identifying and locating
this man is asked to contact police immediately."
