I can't think of very many worse ways to remove (or replace) an
engine... which one of those did you use? ;-)

None, I pulled it out by hand!
Couldnt use a block and tackle either due to height restriction.

Pulled it to peinces in the engine bay then reassembled the same way.

Out of cuiousity why you say not a good way to pull out an engine? Just an electrical block and
tackle surely?

I can think of three, the marginal load rating of the device, the
undeterminable safety locking mechanism and the fact that it relies on a
support structure to operate, one which may or may not be structurally
suitable or physically able to support the load.

Too many variables for my liking.
