Just the mirrors. Well, actually a couple of other things, but
definitely not the whole car. Maybe some time soon I'll bore the
group with a resume of five weeks (4000k) in a Lancer.

Maybe that explains why you're "different" George. Anyone who prefers
backing trailers or even cars using convex mirrors over flatties is
definitly "different". Forward highway driving I'd agree, but not for
backing.

I freely admit confusion now that I've looked at ADR 14/00, ADR 14/01
and ADR 14/02 - they were all registered in August 2006.

ADRs 14/00 and 14/01 specifically require the exterior drivers side
mirror to be flat. ADR 14/02 allows it to be convex.

ADR 14/02 says that it applies from August 15th 2006.
ADR 14/01 says that it applies from August 16th, 2006.
ADR 14/00 says that it applies from August 17th, 2006.

Each ADR says that it repeals other ADRs with the exact same number -
that is, ADR 14/02 only repeals other standards numbered 14/02, not
14/01 or 14/00.

Which ADR is therefore in force?

Either way, my wife's 2006 Honda Jazz was manufactured in early 2006,
and first registered in June 2006 - before any of those ADRs applied. I
was unable to locate a relevant ADR that applied before August 2006.

Sucks to be you.

Geezus, don't give him any encouragement
