Not at all. Otherwise I wouldn't be asking.

You have replied only in the manner of a religious believer. I can accept
that you're not a scientist or statistician. Nor am I. But substance is
absent.

Ok, let me suggest that all motor vehicles should have a flashing warning
light when going at over 30mph. It's a brilliant idea - and glaringly
obvious (to me). Now, you could dive in straight away and say it's stupid.

Or you could ask about the content of my head. If I then said that driving
motor vehicles at over 30mph in built up areas is a safety hazard and this
measure "would"(*) increase safety, would you accept that as an answer?
Well, it's an answer. And it's on a similar level to the one that you gave.
But it's not an answer any sensible person should accept for taking the
proposal seriously.

So you need to try harder.

(*) I use quotes here because it is the word you used - as though the
measures proposed offered a guarantee of success.

That was more than *two years* ago.
How many thousands of people have been killed by cars since then?
The number of peds killed by cyclists per annum is between 0 and 1.
More people are killed putting their trousers on - keep trying.

I suppose you are one of those dumb mugs who phone in their premium
rate line polls.

"Has Labour lost the plot on immigration?" Phone this number for yes
at £1 a minute.

Yesterday's poll results.

"Is it time to deport all Muslims?" Yes 99% No 1%

Says it all really.

Good man!
At last you accept there is a difference between fuel from crude oil
and its carbon emissions and fuel from bio sources and their
emissions.
We're making progress at last.

Do you have a truce on cyclist hunting on Xmas Day?

They do around here - I am usually at work that day and no there are
no lorries or van drivers in sight.
Bliss.
