Got a problem

The only place this vapouriser will go, is as in
this pic.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v190/aboard_epsilon/rover%20420/level.jpg

Problem is the upper coolant outlet on the
vapouriser is 3 inches
above the max level in the header tank on the
left.

N.B. HEADER TANK has max level marked half way up
the tank

Now look at the header tank again, you can see a
purge pipe on the top
of it.

The vapouriser coolant outlet is just a little
below the purge pipe
level, on the header tank ...the builders-spirit
level is on top of
the purge pipe and on top of the vapouriser upper
coolant pipe at both
ends.

I can make a little bleed screw where the heater
pipe comes off the
vapouriser....just to make sure I don't get air
locks.

Will this work ..what do you think guys...think
once it is bled and
the header tank cap is on ...all will be OK ...or
not ???

BTW... dope slap for anyone who suggests
alternative locations
....THERE ARE NON
...when the engine is installed ...you cant spit
thru there ...there
are a lot of things not installed in the
pics...INCLUDING ENGINE :)
....that take up every conceivable space ...

for the USA GUYS ...this is a 2ltr engine shoe
horned into a very
small space.
it's your old 1996 honda civic in disguise.

There is one more alternative (below the ignition
ECU module ..centre
of pic) ...but it would make getting at the
vapouriser a real
pain...and maybe engine out, to take it off :(

alternatively ...any rover 400 owners here ...what did you do ?

All the best...mark

Don't bother I've solved it

There was enough slack in the wiring to..

repositioned fuse box ....to were I first had the vapouriser.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v190/aboard_epsilon/rover%20420/reposition.jpg

so all I have to do now is new bracket for the vapouriser and a new one
for the fuse box.

All the best.mark
