Thats common sense. Unfortunately Strathclyde Police are short of it. At the start of the bridge repairs on Jcn 5 on the M74 there was a gatso mounted in the central reservation facing northwards. I was in the single lane southbound carriageway when the gatso flashed at night. I was driving an artic and and nearly went through the barriers. The moronosity of the Police is staggering. Eventually the gatso was replaced by Avg Cameras. McK.

They have a central reservation camera in a 40 that used to be a national. I've never been close when it went off, but I saw one car that was. The driver slammed on and swerved hard. Luckily nothing was nearby. I was about 300 metres behind, and for the next 10 minutes I couldn't really see what was in front. Ideally, I should have stopped were I was until I was able to see. But that would be illegal too. -- Carl Robson Audio stream: http://www.bouncing-czechs.com:8000/samtest Homepage: http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
