Of course not, If I had detected problems I would have got it sorted
immediately, I maybe do not drive in a way that would expose these probs
but if I can feel something is not right I would get it seen to.

Thanks for all your help, some constructive and some destructive, I WILL
not drive the car until I can get it through the MOT which due to the
hols will be not be until next week, I can assure you that I will be
pleasantly pissed until I do so knowing that to drive my car would be
illegal, good excuse not to be the driver.

I had a car a few years back that had passed an MOT and been serviced by
the previous owner.

I never saw the advisory list, but suspect the brake pipes were on it.

I found out when I hit the brakes at around 60mph and the pedal went to
the floor, with me having to fight a car that was braking on diagonally
opposed wheels.
