From: Thomas on 14 Dec 2009 13:42 Hello Does any one know if/how to deselect the auto-wipe feature on a 2008 Ford Fiesta Zetec? According to the manual, the first position on the stalk should select either intermittent or auto windscreen wipe, however it doesn't make it clear whether this is an option or is fixed depending on whether or not you have the auto-sensor built into your windscreen. There are time when I'd prefer the intermittent, but I can't see how to turn the auto off. I've looked in the menu system but can't find a setting. Thanks for any help Thomas

I'd expect that "intermittent" is only on those cars without the sensor. Think of the sensor as an automatically-varying intermittent, and it makes some sense.

It actually works exceedingly well however its a good idea to keep the inside of the windscreen above the sensor clean. -- Conor www.notebooks-r-us.co.uk I'm not prejudiced. I hate everybody equally.
