but the limits are put there to protect the cones.. hit them at over 50 and
they go off to the recycling yard to become cycle shorts.. and lets be
honest.. the world doesn't need more cycling shorts..

I was told (maybe incorrectly) that Gatso's were no longer being used or
installed (not only guvvermint cut backs) but also because it was/is
impossible to tell who's driving.. Hence the "truvello's"..

But it looks like its not a case of looking for Specs anymore.. but slowing
for the 50 signs..

You should have slowed down to 55 or below

The cameras on the M6 will be for the Active Traffic Management I
believe. Those mandatory limit signs might be hard to see in morning
sunlight

You're fucked then. Expect a FPN through the letter box. The M6 cameras
DO work and DO enforce the lower limits.

I've never had an issue and I've driven past them from dawn onwards.

He can also rely on the fact that the Gatsos will be set to trigger at no
less than 57 mph and as his speedo is most likely over-reading by around 5
mph at an indicated 60, he may well have still not been driving fast enough
to trigger one even if it was 'live'.
