All dictionaries, and common usage would disagree with your usage of
it.

the problem is that you haven't just asked people to not refer to you

You have stated that you aren't one.

If all you said was that you don't like to be referred to as European,
I am sure most people would respect your wishes.

But insisting that not only do you not want to be referred to that
way, but that you actually aren't one is offensive to most of the
other people posting here.
