It is also conventional for people born in England to accept being
called European, and look where that got us.

Neither does your objection to be calling European. Mainly because you
haven't actually explained your objection -- merely said you find it
insulting.

Some Pakistanis dislike being called Pakis.

So some natives of Europe dislike being called European?

Except that you also dislike anyone describing you in any way as
being born where you were born, other than calling it "England".

Even Pakistanis accept there needs to be a PC way to describe their
Ethnicity.

How can I politically correctly describe you as being from Europe, then?

Assuming I get your "analogy", it isn't a very good one. You are
denying the truth, they dislike a particular term.

Sorry, when I speak (or write), your definitions are irrelevant to me.

I have given a logical explanation for my statement. You have not.
Please do so, or shut up.

If you don't like me calling you it, then tough. I will probably
eventually get bored of this thread, but I will still believe you to
be European. It's my head, my thoughts, my (non-libelous) speech...

And? I don't always wait for people to request I say something before
I do so.

> I know perfectly well who and what I am, and European isn't it.

I really, would like to understand why. If I could actually comprehend what
you are thinking, I would even accept your request far enough never to call
you a European again.

But given your reluctance to explain, I'll continue telling the truth...

It may not be any of his business, but I don't think it's irrelevant.
