Because a continent is not a country. I am defined by my country of birth
not my continent of residence. If I move to Australia, I will still be

FFS!

The order of things is country - continent - planet.

So, you're British - European - resident of the planet Earth.

If you're not European, then you're also claiming that you're not a
resident of the planet Earth, which you obviously are.

Or maybe not.......

Only, if you intend to live there permanently, you'd have to apply for
an Australian passport, which would make you an Australian citizen.

Ivor is a Tellytubby?

OK, I'll admit, they can't be European as they're clearly from a
different planet ;-)
