Gladly.

2008 England population estimate - 51,446,000 = 395 people/km2
NL - 399
Malta - 1,317

And, if we want to be silly about breaking down "countries" into tenuous
regions, then let's at least be consistent.

Vatican - 1,877
Monaco - 16,923

Both actually ARE countries, btw. Unlike England. With proper
governments, embassies, UN recognition et al.

I've travelled widely across this country, thanks. Clearly, more so than
you.

Parts of western Europe, "India" and Japan and then China are the most
populous areas.
Ignoring the number of "city state" type of places heading the list we
have:-

Bangladesh: 1,099.3/km2 2,917.6/sq mi

most crowded place in Europe
Netherlands: 400/km2 1,035.9/sq mi

England: 395/km2 1,023/sq mi - just below Holland and ahead of:-

India: 359.2/km2 930.2/sq mi

compare those near 400 numbers with:-

France: 115/km2 299/sq mi
Spain: 91.2/km2 231/sq mi
USA: 32/km2 83/sq mi

then theres quiet!

Iceland: 3.1/km2 7.5/sq mi
Western Sahara 1.9/km2 5/sq mi
