I did that on Saturday - he started to move out and I booted it at the
appropriate point, left him well behind....

That doesn't seem to be important. The objective here is simply to be
an even bigger PITA than the tailgater.

Well ... if you really want to ANNOY them, simply lightly touching the
brake pedal so the brake lights illuminate but YOU don't slow down is one
of the best.

If he's far enough away to see your brake lights, he's not a proper
tailgater.
