I bought, as a distress purchase on a Sunday, a spanner. They lent me FOC another one so I could undo the two locked together then put the 'borrowed' one back on the shelf for sale. I had the part with me in a bag, I'm not sure they would have let me exit the shop with the borrowed spanner, saved me about a tenner so I was well chuffed at the time. Elsewhere on a weekday I could have bought the spanner for less then 3 quid but I expect to get shafted if I have to shop on Sunday.

Cyclists need not apply. -- Dave - intelligent enough to realise that a push bike is a kid's toy, not a viable form of transport. |
