Off the top of my head you can't drive more than 3.5 tonnes, but I may
be wrong.

Which should relate to little pictures on the paper part, as I assume you
have a photo licence.

I hired a 7.5 tonne truck to move house last summer! I was told by the
chap at the hire place that that was the limit for a normal driving
license.

People who passed the car test after about 1997 can only drive vehicles
up to 3500kg. Which is basically just vans. There are some pretty
large vans rated at 3500kg though.

Before 1997, I believe the limit was 7500kg and included trailers.

I did some home shopping delivery driving for a supermarket. I enjoyed
it for a while.

It is - for a car driving test passed before 1997. After that, it's 3.5t

Restrictions on trailer size also came in - 750kg without an additional
test.
