A very sensible answer. I actually covered the horn and the lights and
was ready to react with the brakes.

With no valid reason to put the brakes on it would have been my fault
had I suddenly slowed on the off chance he/she would swap lanes again.
As he swapped lanes over the chevrons, I braked hard and luckily no one
hit me from behind.

No it's Channel 4 as Steve said. The BBC idents are fixated on circular
images if you hadn't noticed.

I'd have made a judgement at the time. Got past them as soon as safely
possible probably and given them a wide berth.

If you were doing 70 and they were doing 15 you'd have caught and passed
them very quickly, so I'm not sure your analysis adds up..

Well.. I'd agree with you, if it wasn't for the fact that the roadworks
signs form a giant number 4 which might be a FoB clue.
