Insurance to get car home to sell

From: Trevor on 17 Mar 2010 10:48 My wife is the other side of N England where we have acquired an 8 yr old Ford Fiesta and it is now in her name. We need to get it back over here to sell. What's the best way to go re insurance? Do I have to take out a years insurance for what could be one days use then cash it in?

If you have cover for a vehicle in your name, it normally allows you to drive any other vehicle not owned by you. Check to see if the policy requires that car to also have insurance; some do, some don't. If your cover doesn't allow it, possibly a friend or relative has suitable cover. It has no road tax - I'd have to have an Insurance certificate specifically for that vehicle wouldn't I? |
