I've checked it against GPS and do so fairly regularly. At an indicated 75mph the true speed is about 68-69mph. Fairly typical for a Ford. I said I would be surprised if I was overtaken by three artics while in my car if the speedo was registering 75mph and I will stand by that. I am also keenly awaiting the OP's explanation of how to disable a speed limiter with a screwdriver and some Blu-Tack which he claims to have witnessed, since the news that a speed limiter can be disabled in this way would rock the world of road transport.
