For something to be challenging it will have to be difficult, but being
difficult is not sufficient for it to be deemed challenging. There needs
to be something else as well.

Maybe we simply have different notions about the meaning of the word,
and arguments about the meanings of words are pointless.

I'm wondering what the record is for the youngest person to be killed
trying to be the youngest person to do something.

Actually, having written that, I remembered an event, and a bit of
research yielded.

Another Jessica. Must be something about the name.

I'm not speaking for Sylvia, but as far as I'm concerned difficult and
challenging don't always go hand in hand.

For example, some things, such as loading a pile of bricks into a trailer
for example, can be difficult but isn't very challenging. It's *strenuous*,
sure, but it's not a *challenge* in any sense that it's a test of mental
ability. It's just simply labouring along without any real input involved
other than to pick up from here and put down over there.

On the other hand, juggling raw eggs requires very little physical effort
but is *very* challenging.
