To the extent that it's denigration, rather than just a reasonable
assessment, it's surely being driven by the media hype, which Jessica
and co are certainly doing nothing to discourage.

If this were something she'd done purely for the personal satisfaction
of having done it, then when approached by the media, she'd be saying "I
did this for myself, please leave me alone."

That's not happening.
