We have BBQ's maybe half a dozen times a year, but I also use BBQ bottles
for portable heaters in the garage, for soldering, and anything else that
needs a blast of reasonably hot flame.

Fair enough, I'd imagine the heaters would chew (burn?) it up. I was
forgetting in Melbourne you poor buggars have 11 months of winter where as
up here in Qld we only have 11 days of it.... ; >)
