He managed to find a genuine this morning on shelf at car place, they said
exactly the same thing to. And it has all the connector block bitsies so
their is so soldering involved as with cheaper ones.

Yes, but the �127 was for a mk4 golf, as were the two I bought for �83 each.
To the OP, do you know the engine type code of your car (first 3 characters
of your engine number, will be something like AEH, AGZ, AUE...) I have ETKA
(VW/Audi parts software) and can check part numbers etc

Looks like prices have gone up then on Lambda sensors since the last time I
bought mine. The V6 4 motion has 4 O2 sensors (2 before cat, 2 after).
I got rid of the V6 due to 'common problems' associated with all mk4 golf's,
it cost me a fortune in the 12 months I owned it.

Part number for the lambda sensor is 036 906 262 J
