I feel a lot of sympathy for the fragrant Mrs. Lunn, who has been
chained to the kitchen sink at home and not allowed any respite during
holidays. I've just taken a short holiday break with my wife, we stayed
in hotels as we drove across Europe and in consequence neither of us had
to lift a finger to cook or clean.

Kevin Lunn's idea of a good holiday is to carry his home on his back,
for him to lounge around and watch his wife do exactly the same chores
she has to do at home. Some holiday for her.

No, the difference between my view and Kev's is that I happen to think
other people have a right to live in ways that differ from those I
approve of.

Kev's got every right to be a narrow-minded bigot.

Yet you nitpick him for driving a few mph over the speed limit, knowing
full well that he will never fall foul of the law. You qualify that
stance by saying that technically he is breaking the law, which to me is
pedantic in the extreme, nay, even bordering on being narrow minded
yourself.
I'd bet that you would do the same, especially if the flow of traffic
was also doing 32mph?....I do.

<sigh> Once again, a little more slowly for your benefit.

No, I "nitpick" him for breaking the speed limit whilst simultaneously
castigating others for breaking the speed limit.

Either the speed limit is the law and to be obeyed regardless of
conditions, or the speed limit is a guideline and conditions are the
important bit.

Can't have it both ways.

I'm not the one calling others "stupid" for breaking the speed limit.

Or at 70.

True, it might - but so far it's never once happened to me. Has it ever
happened to you?

How often do you check your tyres for bulges and similar early-warnings
of impending failure?
