Because they are just plain bloody stupid.
I know this stretch of the M6
There are warning signs of the distance to the speed restriction.
There are huge 50mph signs in place.
There are warnings of the cameras.
The cameras are in plain view.
If you ignore all of that you are just plain bloody stupid.

Doubtless there will be some here that will argue against that?
