generate so many tickets. "

5500 is a drop in the ocean for some of them.

Exactly - and the speedos of those exceeding 60 mph will have been
indicating a minimum of 65/66 mph. They have no-one to blame but themselves
and I have not one iota of sympathy for them.

They see the signs, the know the limit - and they choose to ignore it. Let
'em pay.

Perhaps the comment is in relation to the time-scale over which that number
of tickets were generated?
