Whether someone drives the speed limit or not...

....tailgating is still wrong; more wrong.

That only means that there are 15% of the drivers out there to tailgate
you and not more.

Doesn't change reality. You can be in the right lane at 5 over; so
long as that is still below the general flow speed of traffic, some
knucklehead will tailgate you trying to get you to speed up rather
than pass

Lucky you; I have not seen evidence of that around here. If anything
enforcement has become tighter, to the point where traffic flows
noticeably slower than it did say 5 years ago. That's impressive as
generally all studies point to the speed limit being basically
irrelevant to the speeds people drive, so the only explanation is that
people honestly feel at risk of getting a ticket. (I know that I
do.) They're still exceeding the speed limit, don't get me wrong, but
not by as much.

Huh? I don't have a radar detector. Radar detectors are not white.
That's an IPass transponder. I drove the toll road a week ago today and
haven't bothered taking it down yet.

Good for you. Lots of people do. I however get subjected to all sorts of
selective enforcement, so I don't.

You're just damn lucky. I get pulled over for just looking at cops.

Oh, and the last time I was doing '10 over' near a cop I was following
WAYYYYYY behind one that nearly sucked the door of my car from passing
close and FAST. A second cop pulled me over to yell at me for
'drafting'. 3 other cops then show up. The cop I was behind was so far
out in front of me I could barely make out his cruiser's taillamps from
other traffic. Didn't get a ticket. Went to where cop #2 said there was
a 'call' after he was done with me. No cops there. No sign of anything.
