Many drivers would wait for a 'natural' break in the traffic. It may never come. Others, after waiting for a reasonable time, would say "Stuff this for a game of soldiers", switch on their hazard warning lights, and slowly (ever so slowly) execute the reverse turn into the driveway, regardless of what the passing traffic was doing.
