I drive on a lot of multi lane highways and freeways and IMO tailgating is a serious problem on that type of road especially because of the higher speeds. Daryl

In these parts they identify themselves by actually accelerating towards stopped traffic up ahead, just so they *can* brake late and of course, viciously. Come to think of it I don't recall much of that lot in Melbourne - I just recall that "U" turns were de-rigeur, anywhere, anytime.
