From: ian h on 25 Jun 2010 02:16 Mazda 6 wagon 2010 Anyone have an idea where is the best location to mount an Etag . Around the rear vision mirror there appears to be a dark coloured mesh. Our Peugeot's only an '04 and that one tells you. Low as possible in the right corner of the screen works well for GPS in most cars: good sightline, no arbag interference and not a vision critical area. Cheers -- Posted at www.usenet.com.au

I've seen plenty of oxygen thieves with their GPS units mounted directly in front of them, or directly in the middle of the windscreen. I think GPS should be mounted in bottom right of windscreen. Watched a cop show on ch7 a few weeks back, featuring a car load of tooled up WA cops on a raid. They had their sat nav mounted in the dead centre of the windscreen! No doubt anyone else who does the same stands a fair chance of being booked! -- John H
